We started the way all great adventures do. With an idea.

In this case, the idea was for a campaign for my brother-in-law’s new dental practice. I wanted to create something cool and fun, not stale or boring like many dental ads I’d seen. As a creative director at a New York advertising agency, I knew how to create a campaign that was concept-driven and looked good. The problem was it would probably cost way more than it would be worth for my brother-in-law to spend. So I thought, “Wait a minute, dentists are super local. It doesn’t matter if a dentist a few zip codes over uses the same campaign. Not to mention a dentist on the other side of the country. Why not create awesome big-budget content, and then license it to different dentists to use for a fraction of the cost?”
